Halo semuanya!

The week was awesome. We worked with a lot of our friends this week and met many amazing people that we hope we can meet again. We had a Christmas event at the church on Saturday and had an amazing time. We are also planning on meeting with many members this week. 

During the Christmas event at the church, we had one of our friends come and 2 people that Elder Maxwell and I had recently met a couple weeks ago also came. It was great seeing them and teaching them more about our Savior, Jesus Christ. 

We had a cool experience on Sunday when we were going to a member's apartment. We had left the church and we were able to meet 6 great people on the way there and we were able to teach them about the Book of Mormon. 

We also have an opportunity every Sunday to go and administer the sacrament to a lady in our ward that can't come to church. It's always great going there. She's a great example of sharing the gospel to those around her and sometimes she invites us to share a spiritual thought with them.

Serving in Jakarta is awesome. I know that this Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and being able to share this with the people of Indonesia has brought me so much Joy.

Halo family and friends. This week we taught with many of our friends, had stake conference, mission tour, and experienced some cool things.

To start off the week we met with many of our progressing friends. It was great meeting with them again and being able to help them build their faith. It is amazing seeing their commitment to learn more about the book of mormon grow. Some have been reading it daily, pondering, and turning to God to find answers. Their testimony of the Book of Mormon is strengthening and it's helping them make better decisions in their lives. 

I had a cool experience this week. We were on the busway and this person named Raharjo came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder. The first thing he asked me, are you mormon?, can I have a book of Mormon? I told him that we were out of book of mormons! He said, maybe you can come to my place and explain the book of mormon to me. I got his contact information and we were planning on meeting him a couple days later. On Sunday, We were trying to get a hold of him but he wasn't responding. We were waiting at a bus stop for about 15 min while we were waiting for him to reply so we could know where he wanted us to meet him. We decided they should do some more finding on the busways while we were waiting for his response. I got on the bus and I sat down next to this pak. Once I sat down and I realized it was him! I was so surprised! We were able to go to his house and share a message with him about the book of mormon. It was amazing seeing God's guidance in the work. I know that it wasn't a coincidence. I am so thankful to be able to help others receive the blessings that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has to offer. God's hand is evident in our lives. 

On the 9, we had zone conference and Elder David P. Homer of the seventy came. It was really cool. We learned a lot and my companion and I are going to apply a lot of the things that we learned to better help the people in Indonesia strengthen their faith. 

I love you all and know the book of mormon is the word of God. Reading and pondering about the book of mormon has brought me great peace in my life. We can find peace through those hard times and be comforted to know that we are not alone. He is there and will carry us through those challenging times. I definitely felt that this week and I know that we can feel peace through those hard times when we turn to Him in faith.

Syukur hari

Halo family and friends! This week was great! We met with many people, had amazing meals, celebrated Thanksgiving, and had many awesome experiences.

The transfer ended this week! This was my last week with Elder Maxwell. He will be moving to Bogor and he is serving with one of his good friends from high school! I have loved serving with Elder Maxwell he has been a great example to me. I have learned a lot from him and had a great time with him in Jakarta. We have seen so many miracles. Being led to those that God has prepared to hear the truthfulness of this gospel has been so cool. I'm so thankful for the experiences that I've had. I am happy to be staying in Jakarta and I will now be serving with Elder Lyon. He is from Utah as well and went to Alta High School and wrestled there! He has been out for almost 1 year now. I look forward to serving with him. So pumped!! 

For Thanksgiving this week, we ate at Senopati with many other missionaries. Missionaries from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, and Tanggerang came to celebrate. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of you and for everything that I have been given. I am also extremely grateful for this gospel and the joy that it has brought to my life. I am thankful that I have this knowledge and the opportunity to share this with the people of Indonesia. The Book of Mormon is true. It has brought me so much peace. I have felt God's love for me and I know that he loves all of you.

We also taught Malam keluarga again. We had a discussion about receiving answers and prayer. It was great. We had many opportunities to meet with a lot of new people this week. We taught Slipa again and she still has a strong desire to follow our Savior's example by being baptized. 

We also went and had dinner with a family this week at an amazing buffet. It was their anniversary and they invited us to come! We shared a spiritual thought with the family. It was probably one of the best buffets I have ever had. It was at a hotel called Shangri-la hotel. Enak banget :)
