Second Week in Medan.

Halo family and friends! How are all of you doing?

This week was amazing. We are seeing the people that we have been teaching come closer to Christ. We went on splits, had a fireside with the youth in the branch, and ate some delicious food throughout this week.

On Monday, we bought some ducks and fed them to the crocodiles. We also got to see some huge pythons and monkeys. It was pretty sweet.

On Wednesday, I had splits with Elder Williams. He started the mission at the same time as I did. He is an awesome, hard working missionary, and he is from Solo. We had the opportunity to visit a member. We taught her about the importance of doing family history work. She also has a pet monkey, dog, and a chick! We then biked to this kampung where we met a lot of great people, and on the way there I saw a man popping a squat on the sidewalk hahaha.

On Friday, I had splits with Elder Cahya Putra. He is also from Solo. This is his 2 transfer in the mission. He is a very kind and great missionary. We were eating dinner at this food place we call Nias. We order our food and sit down. About 5 minutes later we had someone ask if they could join us for dinner! We had a good gospel discussion with them and later taught malam keluarga.

On Saturday, I got destroyed on my bike by an angkot for the first time in Indonesia which was a lot of fun :) We had a fireside with the youth in the branch about the covenant path. Some investigators also came!

On Sunday, we were able to give a blessing to a former elder that served in Indonesia. During sacrament meeting, we had 13 investigators to church!

We have been teaching some people recently and one of the people named Sister Halawa committed to baptism on the 16th of February! So excited for her!

Love you all and have a great week!

Kasih,

Elder Östhed
